Recently, the 11th Sichuan International Tea Expo was held in Chengdu, China.The scale of this Tea Expo is 70000 square meters. From more than 50 major tea producing areas nationwide, nearly 3000 tea brands and enterprises have participated in the Expo, covering six major tea categories, including green tea, black tea, dark tea, white tea, yellow tea, oolong tea, as well as tea sets, purple sand, ceramics, handicrafts, tea furniture, tea clothes, tea food, tea packaging machinery.
As one of the major tea producing areas & a strong tea industry city in Sichuan Province, Yibin has organized 31 tea enterprises including Sichuan Liquor&Tea Group, Sichuan Tea Group Co., Ltd to attend the Expo to show the image of Yibin's tea industry and enhance the influence of Yibin's tea brand.
As of September 2022, Yibin tea garden area is 1.3 million mu, tea annual output about 102000 tons. There are 316 tea processing enterprises, and there are 6 regional public brands of tea, 4 geographical certification trademarks, and 4 geographical indications of agricultural products in Yibin.
